As a congregation, we view ourselves as a part of a larger community. We desire to extend a caring hand to those within our church and surrounding area.
Here are some ways we are locally active as a church:
Pre-marital Counselling is provided by our Pastors, to prepare couples for their wedding, and to assist them in establishing a Christ-centred home together.
Our Pastors are also readily available for pastoral conversations that offer support and guidance, relative to the everyday challenges of life.
In cases where ongoing, specialized counselling is required, referrals may be made to professionally accredited Christian counsellors.
As a church, we recognize that prayer is vital to cultivating intimacy with God. As well as integrating prayer into our personal lives, we host regular times of prayer on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. All are welcome to participate in these times of prayer and reflection.
Another way we incorporate prayer is through the Prayer Chain. It is designed to activate an immediate prayer response to urgent needs as they arise. Requests are entrusted to a group of people who are devoted to prayer.
Please call the church office to submit a request or indicate your interest in participating in the Prayer Chain.
People within the church family and beyond, who are experiencing a season of financial crisis or hardship, are invited to explore the resources available through the Benevolent Ministry. With confidentiality and care, the Benevolent Team reviews requests for assistance on an individual basis. Our congregation supports this practical ministry through regularly received offerings.
Meaningful spiritual care and encouragement are extended to those who are in hospital, Nursing and Retirement facilities, or confined to their homes. Personal visits, telephone calls, prayer, and provision of the Lord’s Supper are offered.
